UPDATE: Police Arrest Pine City Sexual Assault Suspect

The Pine County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a girl at a park over the weekend. 

According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the alleged assault happened at Robinson Park around 9 p.m. 

The victim told police she was on the playground when a man approached her and asked her numerous times to get in his car with him.  

When she refused, the suspect allegedly forcibly removed her pants and sexually assaulted her. 

The victim claimed a person in the area yelled to them and the man told her to be quiet.  

The suspect then took out and drove south on 5th Street Southeast and then West on 3rd Avenue Southeast.  

Authorities said on Wednesday night they have identified and arrested a suspect. 

More information is expected to be released on Thursday.
