One Arrested in Duluth Meth Bust
One person has been arrested and charged in connection to a drug bust in Duluth.
The Duluth Police Department, along with the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of Upham Road on Tuesday.
During their search, they seized 5.8 grams of meth, $3,490 in cash and other evidence of drug sales.
Police attempted to arrest 35-year-old Marques Anthony Jones. Jones resisted arrest and investigators struggled to place him into handcuffs.
He was eventually taken into custody and has been charged with Second Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance and Obstructing the Legal Process.
Jones also had a federal warrant out for his arrest for violating probation as a result of a conviction in 2009 for Conspiracy to distribute 350-500 grams of Methamphetamine.
