Carlton Co. Emergency Management Surveys Flood Damage

Eight Homes in Carlton Co. With Significant Damage

Assessors have been out inspecting the flood damage in Carlton County and have visited 25 homes so far.

Emergency management says at this point there are eight homes with significant damage. In some of those homes, the damage has been assessed at half the property value.

County officials say volunteers in the area are doing a lot to help with recovery efforts, but first they need to know where the damage is.

“This is typically an issue in rural areas, where we might find a the home owner who might have difficulty getting by,” said Brian Belich Director of Carlton Co. Emergency Management. “We need to identify the person who needs assistance.”

If you have any flood damage you are asked to visit the Carlton County website, where they can help pair flood victims up with volunteers and other recovery resources.
