Solemn faces from those in attendance today, as community members joined Wisconsin Governor Scott walker here at the Burnett County Government Center to honor those law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Like many small towns in america, Siren feels a special connection with those who have served the community. Today gave people a chance to pay respects to those who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice locally that included Deputy Sheriff Allen Albee, Deputy Sheriff Michael Severson, Deputy Sheriff Paul Grammer, and Undersheriff Richard Schinzing.

Scott Walker said, “So today we don’t just remember the end of watch. We remember the impact that each of these 4 heroes had on the lives of their family, of their friends, of their co–workers, and the impact they’ve had on countless others who never even met them.”

The memorial concluded with a look at the future of Wisconsin law enforcement, as well as the assets necessary to continue providing service.
