Sunday Growler Sales Anniversary

Breweries Say Sales Have Increased

This week marks the anniversary of Sunday growler sales in Minnesota.

The law was changed after several craft breweries lobbied at the statehouse. The head brewer Frank Kaszevea at Fitgers says Sunday growler sales are now 20 percent of their business.

“It’s nice for tourists, if they are are up for the weekend they can get beer on Sunday, instead of having to keep in the the car,” said Kaszevea. “It’s a nice advantage.”

Fitgers and Bent Paddle Brewery say Sundays have been an above average day for sales.
