Ashland is Home to Award Winning Sausage

6th Street Market Wins Award in National Competition

The 6th street market in Ashland is making a name for itself in and out of the state.

The market competed in the American Cured Meat Championships which brings together sausage makers from all over the nation.

The 6th street market took home the grand champion award for a Cajun style sausage used in Jambalayas.

“It’s wonderful. I mean it’s a great honor and a big part of the convention is networking, you end up meeting some great people from all over,” said Andrew Pearson from the 6th Street Market.

The 6th Street Market ships products to people who want to try their sausages, but can’t make it to Ashland.
