Ironwood Public Safety Department Responds to Structure Fire

At 3:18 a.m. on Tuesday August 2, Ironwood Public Safety Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 324 E. Oak St.

When crews arrived, the first floor of the home was engulfed in flames. Three occupants of the home were able to evacuate, and one was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The fire was under control 30 minutes later and officers were able to clear the scene at 5:13 a.m.

The home received extensive damage and is believed to be a total loss.

Family pets were also lost to the fire.

The fire is currently under investigation by Ironwood Public Safety Fire Marshal, Brandon Snyder.
