Cherry House Destroyed in Early Morning Fire

This morning around 2:45 a.m., the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office along with multiple fire departments, responded to a house fire in the 3900 block of Cherry Township.

A person driving by observed the house to be engulfed in fire and called 9-1-1.

No one was in the house at the time of the fire.

The house was a total loss and the incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall.

The State Fire Marshall, Cherry Fire Dept, Clinton Fire Dept., McDavitt Fire Dept., Virginia Fire Dept., Kinney Fire Dept. and Mt. Iron Fire Dept. assisted in the efforts to put out the fire.
