Duluth Gets Ready for Tall Ships

Tall Ships Duluth will bring nearly 300,000 visitors to the area.

In addition to bringing the world’s largest rubber duck into the Twin Ports, Tall Ships Duluth brings in nearly fifteen million dollars into the community.

The event is just over a week away and the city is getting ready for its nearly 300,000 visitors.

Tourists will come to the event from every state and every province in Canada.

“This is big for us. This is one of the staple events in our August lineup. We just can’t wait for the folks to arrive and the ships to come through the canal,” said Bob Gustafson, Visit Duluth Media Communications Manager.

Tall Ships comes to the area once every three years. This is the fourth time it’s come to Duluth.
