Residents Near Construction Site Tired of Constant Noise
One Woman Has Construction Literally in Her Front Yard
A small section of Kenwood Avenue in Duluth will be closed all week, as a construction project continues its progress.
The closure near a new apartment building will allow crews to disconnect water mains and install light pole bases for the new signal system.
But there are some in the neighborhood who have grown tired of the constant construction.
Judy Watczak has lived in this area for the past 25 years.
She literally has the construction going on in her front yard, and says the noise is non-stop.
“I think the people closest to it are having a hard time with the construction and all of the busy-ness out here. Ya know, [it’s] constant,” Watczak said.
Watczak says the workers are nice to her; they’ve even offered to help her with her groceries on occasion.
That construction project is scheduled to be done before the end of the year.
