Third Annual “Pay It Forward” Veterans Fishing Event

60 veterans from eight states are participating this year

This weekend will mark the third annual “Pay it Forward” Veterans fishing event that will bring veterans together for a three night, two day fishing trip at Lake of the Woods.

This year 60 injured and disabled veterans from eight different states will be participating in the event.

Thursday evening both male and female veterans will enjoy dinner and special presentations, and get the chance to meet fellow veterans. These men and women who have served our country will get the chance to learn about a variety of veteran programs, agencies, and services that may be beneficial to them.

The weekend will be filled with events and activities, while also enjoying quality time on the Rainy River fishing for that perfect walleye.

Working very closely with Lake of the Woods Tourism and participating resorts this year are the organizations Fishing for Life and the Wounded Warrior Project. Both organizations are involved in assisting veterans and have been instrumental in organizing this year’s event.
