Two Teens Charged with Murder After Dragging Teen with Pickup

Authorities reported that the teen was found unconcious in the middle of the road

Prosecutors have charged two teenagers with murder in the dragging death of an 18-year-old Montrose man over the weekend.

The Star Tribune reports Noelle Ziegelmann of St. Michael and James Striebel of Howard Lake, both 18-year-old, appeared in Wright County court Tuesday on felony charges of second-degree murder and robbery. Both requested public defenders.

Ziegelmann and Striebel were arrested Sunday in the death of Harvey. According to the complaint, Harvey had arranged a roadside meeting outside his house to sell marijuana to Striebel.

The complaint goes on saying Striebel, who was in the passenger seat of the pickup, grabbed the bags of marijuana and Ziegelmann floored the accelerator.

Harvey hung onto the pickup and was dragged.

Deputies and emergency workers had treated Harvey at the scene, and was then taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis where he later died from his injuries.
