UW-Superior and WITC Announce Transition Opportunity for Early Childhood Education Students

An articulation agreement between the two campuses means a seamless transition for students

The University of Wisconsin-Superior and Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College announce a new articulation agreement in Early Childhood Education.

This agreement means that any student in the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) with an Early Childhood Education Associate of Applied Science degree can make a seamless transition to UW-Superior by transferring the credits they earned in that program to UW-Superior for a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary Education with an Early Childhood minor.

UW-Superior’s Elementary Education program is available both on campus and online, making it the only program of its kind in the state.

“We are eager to facilitate the transfer between Wisconsin Technical Schools and UW-Superior,” said Taylor Walkky, an advisor in the Elementary Education program at UW-Superior. “These students have so much experience already in Early Childhood classrooms that they will be a great asset to our program. We look forward to working together to help Wisconsin students around the state become better teachers.

This new arrangement is the third between UW-Superior and WITC; other arrangements already in place are for Business and Social Work.
