Can of Worms Project Update
MnDOT officials seek public input on the project.
The countdown is on for final public input on the future of the congested and sometimes dangerous Can of Worms interchange in Duluth.
Transportation officials have been holding monthly public meetings to gather design suggestions before a preliminary plan is unveiled in November.
The Can of Worms interchange will go through some serious changes in the future and MnDOT officials say the time is now for public input on the project.
MnDOT is currently looking at exit locations, the impact the project will have on the neighborhood, ramps, and traffic signals.
“We are still sketching things and incorporating ideas as they are brought to us and we want to make sure that we have all of the neighborhood and motorist and business input before we start to draw things,” said MnDOT project manager Roberta Dwyer.
MnDOT will have another meeting on November 21st where they hope to unveil some preliminary design drawings.
