Vista Fleet Water Work Shop

Area dignitaries gather on the Vista Fleet to learn about water management

Community leaders and decision makers hopped on board the Vista Fleet for a four hour workshop on the water, to learn about water resource management on the St. Louis River watershed.

Information stations were on board, where participants could learn from topic experts. Some of the discussions on the ship included aquatic invasive species, storm water runoff, and beach health and beach safety.

“I think that it is really important to connect people to water, if you’re talking about water,” says Marte Kitson

The goal of the workshop was to help people use science to make informed decisions.
