Mixing up Cocktails with The Rathskeller

Cooking Connection: Old Fashioned

For this week’s Cooking Connection we mixed up some cocktails with bartender Cade Grover from The Rathskeller.

The Rathskeller is located below Tycoon’s, soon to be The Blind Pig at 132 E Superior St, Duluth, MN 55802.

The Blind Pig will officially open October 22 with a new menu and new drink items.

Whiskey Old Fashioned:

-cut orange in half
-add orange and cherry to glass
-add dash of simple syrup
-add 6-7 dashes of bitters
-mash up ingredients with muddler (push down and twist)
-pack glass full of ice
-add 1.5 oz. of bourbon whiskey
-add splash of soda water
