Lancour and Superior agree to terms

Both ok with deal

Natasha Lancour has settled her lawsuit with the city of superior for 50,000 dollars.

In January of 2014 the 31–year–old was arrested outside of Keyport lounge in Superior.

During the arrest Lancour alleged that three superior police officers used excessive force when she was arrested. After nearly three years both sides are moving forward.

It was a settlement between the two sides and it was agreeable on both ends, i think both sides are ok with the outcome.”

George Gothner, one of the officers who was seen struggling with Lancour during the arrest, was previously cleared of any wrongdoing in the case.

He was given a 10–hour unpaid suspension.

Captain Champaigne also tells me that whenever the use of force is necessary it will almost always not look pretty to onlookers, but they will continue to use force when necessary.

Lancour’s attorneys could not be reached for comment.
