Superior Days Issues
Concerns talked about to be sent to Madison
The Douglas County community came together to focus on the important issues that are affecting the area.
The 32nd superior days was held tonight at VIP pizza.
It’s a meeting to hear citizens’ concerns and build a platform to take to Madison in February….
And share those ideas with elected officials and agency leaders.
“There’s interest in bringing back a local option road tax or sales tax to support roads again. Also we have a non–binding referendum on the November ballet better superior that would create an expedition district,” says James Anderson
Other concerns discussed tonight were opioid use, drug and alcohol treatment, mental health issues that are unique and specific to northwest Wisconsin.
