St. Louis County Public Health Offers Free Flu Shot Clinics

Free flu shots are being offered to those six months and older.

Flu season is upon us and the St. Louis County Public Health Department is doing what it can to prevent the disease.

The department held the first of a series of free flu shot clinics in Duluth.

They’re providing free flu shots to any St. Louis County resident six months and older.

“Anything that we can do to promote wellness in the community such as preventing the flu to people that live within our county, we always want to promote what’s best for community members,” said Theresa Roebke.

Anyone can become sick from the flu. Those who are most at risk of complications of the flu are young children and the elderly.

The next clinic will be held on November 9th from 9:30-11:30 a.m at CHUM. On November 15th, the San Marco Apartments will host a clinic from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The Damiano Center will host a clinic on November 16th from 11:30 a.m to 1:00 p.m.
