Crowell Happy with Bulldogs’ Road Resume

UMD Travels to North Dakota This Weekend

Maura Crowell has Bulldog Women’s Hockey back among the nation’s elite in just her second season at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Crowell’s crew comes back from a bye this weekend in Grand Forks against the University of North Dakota.

The road has been somewhat friendly to the Bulldogs so far in 2016-17.  UMD played well, but were swept at Minnesota, then rebounded to sweep Ohio State in Columbus two weeks ago.

North dakota has been a tough trip for UMD in recent years and Crowell wants to see her team play well, even if they have to play a pair of matinees.

“We need to be able to win wherever, whenever,” said Crowell.  “We had tough times at Ohio State, you could say 2 o’clock Saturday and Sunday isn’t ideal at North Dakota either, but the Championship Game at the end of the year is a 2 o’clock game on Sunday, so we have to be ready for anything.”
