Early Morning House Fire Breaks Out in West Duluth

The Home is Currently Vacant, No Injuries Were Reported

Happening this morning shortly after 4:15a.m., the Duluth Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire coming from 521 North 48 Avenue West in Duluth.

Two engines from the Lincoln Park neighborhood first arrived on the scene. Officials tell FOX 21 it took 20 firefighters all together to put out the blaze.

The home is currently sitting vacant.

Officials believe the cause of the fire to be heat tape which was plugged into an extension cord.

Damage estimates are nearing the $50,000 mark. No injuries were reported.
