Many Celebrate Annual Coats for Kids Event

Kids Get New Winter Jackets at Annual Coats for Kids Event

Families in Superior today could go and get coats for their children at the 14th Annual Coats for Kids Event.

They started the day with more than 2,000 coats and they hope there won’t be any left when the event ends Saturday at the Mariner Mall.

Jasen Elcombe, an Officer for the Superior Salvation Army, said “There are people who don’t have money to purchase a coat so we have people with a t–shirt on in the middle of winter. We want people warm.”

The event happens Wednesday through Saturday, November 12 from 10am–5pm.
