Integrity Health Network Worried About Blue Cross Blue Shield Contract

Integrity's contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield ends in 2017 and they fear they could lose many patients.

Integrity Health Network is one of the affected organizations that is worried that their expiring Blue Cross Blue Shield could alter patient care.

The two sides have been negotiating for eighteen months and Integrity has been told that this was a business decision made by Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

“Unfortunately, Blue Cross’ decision to terminate our network level contract without curse would be a great hardship for our patients, our community, and would compromise our practice philosophy,” said Dr. Ken Ripp of the Raiter Clinic in Cloquet.

Integrity’s contract ends in February 2017. Integrity officials have said that they hold out hope that Blue Cross Blue Shield will change its mind.
