Abduction Attempt in Superior Determined to be a False Report

Investigators tell FOX 21 they believe the situtation to be a lie

New details involving the report of an attempted abduction in Superior near Great Lakes Elementary School on Monday, November 14.

Investigators have informed FOX 21 that they believe the whole situation was a lie.

Yesterday, police put out an alert that a man tried to grab a 9-year-old girl outside the school, but this afternoon, investigators learned that wasn’t exactly the case.

Captain Thomas Champaigne of the Superior Police Department told us, “I think what happened was she deviated form her normal plan and was behind schedule in this event.

“We don’t think that there’s a real big concern of any abduction happening.”

While this incident was proven false, Superior authorities remind parents to talk to their kids about stranger danger.
