The Duluth Transit Authority is once again partnering with the College of St. Scholastica and National Bank of Commerce to offer passengers free bus rides on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24, 2016.

This is the 27th consecutive year that the DTA has provided free holiday service throughout the day on Thanksgiving. Historically, only a special shuttle operated on Thanksgiving operated by a volunteer bus operators. The full-system Holiday Service began in 2007.

The Holiday Service Schedule for each regular route can be found in the shaded area of the “Sunday” section within the DTA’s passenger hand schedules. More details can also be found online at http://www.duluthtransit.com

The DTA’s Thanksgiving Holiday Service will feature two special shuttle buses; “Turkey Bus 1” and “Turkey Bus 2.” These will transport passengers directly to the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center from selected sites throughout the Twin Ports. Turkey Bus destination signs will distinguish the special shuttle services from regular bus routes.

The special shuttles will operate between the DECC and the Duluth Transportation Center (DTC) and other Duluth sites including the Dominao Center and CHUM. In Superior, the special shuttle service will operate from the Royalton Manor, 14th and Tower Avenue, Clifford Lund, and Solid Rock Mission.
