Snocross Team Visits High School
Amsoil U.S. Air Force team visits Two Harbors High School
Before the snowmobile races this weekend, the Amsoil team visited a local high school to show students their race trailer and encourage them to follow their dreams.
As the Amsoil U.S. Air Force Snocross team prepares for their races this weekend, they took the time to stop at Two Harbors High School to talk with students about racing and their opportunities after high school.
The Amsoil Racing trailer was filled with students asking questions and ready to learn about Snocross sleds from team owner Steve Scheuring and other team members.
They learned that, plus a lesson on hard work and determination.
“I came from the same background as these kids did and to show them that you truly can do anything in life if you put your mind to it,” says Steve Scheuring.
Amsoil Snocross also awarded a $200 scholarship to Two Harbors senior Brandon Dugger because of his accomplishments in shop class.
“It means a lot. I didn’t know it was coming but to see that what I do down here in the shop is actually noticed and it’s not just the shop teacher and everything, it’s pretty sweet,” says Brandon Dugger.
For Brandon and the other students, it’s likely an experience they won’t forget.
The Amsoil team says they’re looking forward to the races this weekend and are hoping to win the Friday Night Dominator for the fourth year in a row.
