The DECC Prepares for the Thanksgiving Holiday

Volunteers Prepare Food for Thousands of People

Volunteers at the DECC are preparing to serve thousands of people tomorrow for Thanksgiving.

Volunteers have been working long hours to prepare 6,000 meals that will be served and delivered to people who need them this Thanksgiving.

The event is free and open to the public and volunteers say that all are welcome.

Monica Hendrickson, an Event Coordinator, said “We just feel like it’s really important. It’s very isolating and just a hot meal can help lift their spirits.”

All of the leftovers will go to Second Hand Harvest.
