Dog Park Attendance Numbers

Volunteers counted 170 people in Duluth dog parks on a single day

In September, volunteers counted the people visiting Duluth dog parks. That information is now available.

On September 20th, volunteers at Keene Creek Dog Park and Jean Duluth Dog Park counted 170 visitors from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Visitors’ age ranged from six months to 81 years. The most common age group was 20-29 year olds.

The volunteers want to show that people use the parks so more can be made.

“People use dog parks, they love the dog parks and it shows that there is the opportunity to have some more off leash areas and they would be well utilized and well appreciated by people from Duluth as well as surrounding areas,” says dog park advocate Dennette Lynch.

Observation Dog Park was not included in the one day study.
