Snocross Kicks Off in the Northland

Many Come Out to Watch Snocross Races

Despite the warm temperatures, the Amsoil Snocross races are going strong at Spirit Mountain this weekend.

The races kicked off today, and race fans packed the stands to see their favorite riders take each other on in some fierce, competitive racing.

With the unseasonable warmth, it wasn’t easy getting these races off the ground.

Jeremy Meyer, the Outdoor Race and Events Manager, said “We had our ups and downs, we had 60 degree weather. A lot of us were outside trying to fight that, but then we had the cold snap a bit last week, and the crew up here at Spirit Mountain did a heck of a job, and they built the biggest track we’ve ever seen out here.”

The races go through Sunday afternoon.
