Snocross Ends at Spirit Mountain
Snomoblie races were at Spirit Mountain last weekend, now crews work to clean up event
Snocross racing fans filled the stands at Spirit Mountain on Friday and Saturday, but the Sunday races were cancelled due to heavy fog.
Now that the races are over, the clean-up begins.
Amsoil Championship Snocross races roared over the spirit mountain snow track last weekend.
Though the final day of the race was cancelled, cleaning up the event is still a big task.
Crews at Spirit Mountain are working to take down the massive setup needed for Snocross races. Vendors and Snocross teams have already left, but trash clean-up and bleacher take-down has to occur.
Though the cancellation of Sunday’s race is disappointing, Spirit Mountain says they are happy with the turnout the first two race days.
“Certainly not the Snocross we had anticipated, we absolutely want to get in all three days, but we certainly feel very fortunate to have had the strong two days we did on Friday and Saturday,” says Brandy Ream, executive director of Spirit Mountain.
There are seven events left in the Snocross season.
Next year’s races at Spirit Mountain are again scheduled on Thanksgiving weekend.
