Extra DWI Enforcement in Minnesota

Through December 30th, there is additional enforcement on Minnesota roads

Over Thanksgiving weekend, there were 440 DWI arrests across Minnesota. In the Duluth district, there were 7 DWI arrests last weekend.

Officers say holiday weekends usually have more impaired driving arrests and they urge people to make transportation plans before the go out celebrating.

“Call a cab, call a friend, call anybody, make alternative plans to make sure you’re getting home safely so you don’t hurt yourself or somebody else,” says Sgt. Neil Dickenson of the Minnesota State Patrol.

Extra DWI enforcement is in effect on Minnesota roads through December 30th.
