Pillows Donated to St. Luke’s Cancer Patients

Hermantown Middle School students donate pillows for patients at St. Luke's

Hermantown Middle School students are already getting into the holiday spirit.

Today more than 20 students came to visit St. Luke’s cancer patients and donate some port pillows to them.

The students created the pillows themselves for patients who have a permanent port for chemotherapy.

“We’re thankful and grateful that this class was able to join us,” said Tara Haugen, manager of surgical services at St. Luke’s. “I know that they’ve worked very hard and came up with this idea and have taken time out of their day to come deliver these pillows for our patients.”

The students created the pillows in a family and consumer science class.
