Curling Night in America Kicks Off

Teams From Scotland, China, and Japan are Participating

Curling Teams from USA, Scotland, China, and Japan are competing in a double round-robin format competition at the DECC.

The event, Curling Night in America, is a competition that has been going on for 3 years.  Some of the players on team USA are from Duluth, and many of the teams competing also play against each other in World Wide competitions, like the Olympics, and world championships.

“It’s great to see all the enthusiastic kids here, they got the upper deck full, we’re looking for more and more people, we’d love to have over flow crowds,” said Rick Patzke, the Chief Executive Officer at USA Curling.

The event continues to Saturday. The open seating is on ice level, so if you attend, be sure to dress warm.
