Lake Superior Zoo Offers ‘Five Dollar Fridays’ for Winter Months

Zoo Officials Recognize This is a Slower Time

The Lake Superior Zoo has a big message for this winter – they’re still open!

The zoo remains open all winter long, and for the winter months they’re offering reduced ticket prices to adults and teenagers every Friday.

Zoo officials say the animals are very active in the winter, even more so than the summer.

But they do recognize that the zoo is less busy than the warmer months.

“It is less crowded,” said marketing specialist Keely Johnson, “But the zoo grounds are absolutely beautiful in the winter; especially when it’s snowing, the animals are running around. It’s absolutely gorgeous.”

Every Friday through the winter, tickets for adults and teens are only five dollars.

The Lake Superior Zoo is open Thursday through Monday every week.
