Governor Scott Walker visiting troops in Middle East

Will visit deployed members of the National Guard

Governor Scott Walker is spending the week, as part of a delegation of governors vising U.S. troops in the Middle East.

Walker first announced Monday in a message on Twitter that hew as overseas visiting troops.

His spokesman Tom Evenson later released a statement saying Walker is part of a delegation of governors invited by the U.S. Department of Defense, which organized the trip.

Walker is scheduled to be gone Monday through Friday, visiting deployed members of the National Guard. His office did not say where exactly in the Middle East he will be.
