“Speak Out, Speak Up’ Stops In Lincoln Park
Several community groups held a public input meeting Monday in Lincoln Park to hear from voices of people in underrepresented areas, and compile information to be included in the city of Duluth’s comprehensive plan.
“This meeting tonight is really about reaching out to neighborhoods that aren’t traditionally targeted, aren’t traditionally surveyed – voices that really don’t get considered in a lot of planning processes,” said Courtney Cochrane, of CHUM.
The “Health in all Policies Campaign” is made up of groups like CHUM and the NAACP.
They are collecting surveys that look to address people’s concerns over things like housing and transportation.
The data collected from the surveys will be brought to the city leaders in early 2017.
