Multiple arrests made on Sale of Heroin charges

Approximately 94 grams of heroin

On Wednesday, December 7, 2016, investigators from the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and Superior Police Department Narcotics Investigators, executed a search warrant in the city of Superior.

During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located approximately 84 grams of heroin. A majority of the heroin was packaged for sale in 151 individual bags.

The street value is estimated at $15,000.

At least five individuals were arrested on drug charges related to the sale or possession of heroin.

The arrests included a 30-year-old male form Chicago, who is currently in custody at the Douglas County Jail in Superior. Charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin are pending.

Investigators from the Superior Police Department, Duluth Police Department, and the task force work closely together on a daily basis conducting these joint investigations. The close relationship is one of the primary reasons for the large number of successful arrests and drug seizures that happen on a daily basis.
