New adminstration paving way for more steel industry jobs

Steel industry could be in an uptick

The president of U.S. Steel has announced some good news for that industry.

President Mario Longhi said today that 10,000 workers within that industry could be recalled to their posts.

That should put a dent in the 16,000 people who have been laid off across the U.S. from the steel industry in recent years.

Longhi pointed to the recent election results and proposals the new administration has made as reasons for the steel industry uptick.
