Free Vintage Christmas Movie Showing
Event Features Sensory Sensative Activities
On Saturday, December 10, the Douglas County Historical Society will be hosting a free holiday event, featuring vintage Christmas Season movies from the 1950’s and earlier.
The 3rd annual event is open to the public, and will feature new activities this year, welcoming everyone to come and join in on the holiday fun. Movies will start playing at 2:00p.m.
The event will be sensory sensitive for individuals who may find something like this to be “over-stimulating.”
Kelsey Berg of the Harbor City Psychological Associates and the Douglas County Historical Society are offering activities and an environment that will provide a fun atmosphere for everyone.
DCHS Executive Director Tony Tracy says this time of year, many are unable to get to the mall to see Santa, or engage in other over-stimulating activities. Having a daughter who is Autistic provides that passion to improve this year’s event.
The Douglas County Historical Society is located at 1101 John Ave, Superior, WI 54880. DCHS is an ALL-Access facility with a lift on the left side of the building for the public’s convenience.
