Grand Rapids is Building a Multi-Use Outdoor Pavilion

Pavilion to Be Used for Many Different Sports

The city of Grand Rapids is getting a multi-use outdoor pavilion for activities ranging from ice hockey, to pickle ball.

The Community multi-use pavilion is an open air pavilion that provides covered outdoor space for recreation. The idea to create the pavilion was driven by a need for more ice to play hockey but what’s being built is a facility that can also be used for lacrosse, soccer, and many other sports.

“We’ve been working on this project since about march, it was really a fast track project,” said Tom Pagel the City Administrator of the City of Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids plans to have the Pavilion available for Hockey by this coming January.
