Boy Scouts Race Pinewood Derby Cars With Seniors

Residents at the Primrose Retirement Community of Duluth raced Pinewood Derby cars with local Boy Scouts.

The residents worked to build the cars with the Boy Scouts back in November, and on Sunday, they brought the almost 40-foot race track and cars to race the residents.

“By looking at their faces how happy they are. It brought back memories for a lot of the residents, talking about their sons being in the derby,” said Cindy Hnatek, the Life Enrichment Coordinator at Primrose Retirement Community.

After one day of working on the cars with the Boy Scouts, the residents worked on the cars on their own.
