Minnesota Orchestra Musicians to Play at Karpeles Museum
Coffee Conversation: Music at the Museum
This weekend the Karpeles Manuscript Museum will be filled with music as Twin Cities’ Music at the Museum performs.
The concert will be Sunday, December 18 at 3:00 p.m.
This will be the first concert performed outside of the Twin Cities. The series was started in 2006.
Musicians will feature Minnesota Orchestra solo violinist Helen Chang Haertzen and Russian pianist Denis Evstuhin.
The program will include Tchaikovsy’s The Seasons, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue for solo piano, and Cesar Franck’s Violin Sonata.
Additionally, The museum will display its copies of treaties from the War of 1812 alongside of treaties between the Lakota Tribes and U.S. government.
Tickets are available in advance for $20 at duluthkarpelesmuseum.org or Facebook, or for $22 at the door.
Students will be admitted without charge when accompanied by a ticketholder.
