Families Displaced In Apartment Fire

More Than 50 Firefighters Worked To Put Out The Flames



A large apartment fire in Virginia has left several people without homes Monday night.

The Virginia Fire Department says more than 50 fire firefighters from eight fire departments were still working to extinguish the fire late Monday afternoon.

Seven families lived in the complex; the American Red Cross is working to help those families find a place to stay.

No one was hurt. Fire crews are now investigating how the fire started.

The Virginia fire department, Biwabik Township Fire Department, Eveleth Fire Department, Gilbert Fire Department, Hibbing Fire Department, Pike Sandy Britt Fire Department and Mountain Iron Fire Department responded to the fire.
