Sticking to a Diet at Holiday Parties

DULUTH, Minn. – Around the country people are attending holiday parties to celebrate friends, family and 2016.

However, for folks trying to stick to a healthy eating plan, these get-togethers can be tricky.

St. Luke’s Dietitian Jen Prachar stopped by FOX 21 to give some tips for those who want to be healthy, but also enjoy the holidays.

Prachar says eating healthy throughout the day will allow someone the extra calories to have a treat that’s not on their diet.

Looking forward into 2016, Prachar tells FOX 21 people should make realistic goals because that will help the goal setter stick to them.
