Endi Apartments Celebrates Grand Opening With Ribbon Cutting
The project began back in the fall of 2014
DULUTH, Minn. — A housing project that’s been more than two years in the making is celebrating its grand opening on London Road in Duluth.
Developers and city leaders cut the ribbon in the lobby of Endi Apartments earlier this morning.
We first reported on the project back in the fall of 2014, and now the housing and retail complex is fully functional.
The first residents began moving in back in January.
The $38 million project combines more than 140 rental units with several retail outlets, including a coffee shop, pizza shop, and an eye clinic.
“I’ve done projects like this in other communities,” said project developer Tom Lund, from Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors. “I knew that a project with a diversity of product and amenities, in a great location – overlooking the lake – would do well.”
Lund says that housing that combines rental units and retail outlets is a bustling trend, especially in America.
“We’re seeing a lot more of this,” he said. “Throughout the United States adding amenities to these projects is very popular.”
The Endi Apartments are now 70% full with residents.
Crews are still putting some final touches to the outside courtyard.
