Michigan St. to go into Construction

Expect Delays To Start This Spring

Duluth, Minn

Expect delays this coming spring along Michigan St. in downtown Duluth.

Minnesota Power is teaming up with the city to further strengthen their energy output in hopes to cut down on future power outages. At the same time the city of Duluth plans to replace gas lines and water mains. They hope to minimize travel impacts as much as possible.

“They’ll be posted, there will be traffic control and we’ll do what we can to get people around the work and back down to Michigan St. we’ll even convert Michigan St. to two ways for short periods of time. It will be well signed and we’ll do what we can to minimize impact,” Says Brad Scott, City Consultant Project Manager.

The project is set to start this Spring and last through Fall.
