Barley’s Angels Brings Women Together to Talk Craft Beer

The group meets monthly to learn and talk about different beer

SUPERIOR, Wisc. – Every month throughout the year, women from the Duluth–Superior area get together and talk about craft beer.

The group is named the Barley’s Angels and they meet annually at different bars and breweries around the Twin Ports to talk and learn about beer.

The ladies of Barley’s Angels go through training about beer flavors and learn how to talk about and taste beer. On Thursday, they met at the newly opened Cedar Lounge in Superior.

“I just get to learn a little more about [beer] along with women and it’s empowering and fun to get to know other people who enjoy the same stuff as I do,” said Jonee Vance, a member of Barley’s Angels.

The group has grown every year since it started in 2012. The original Barley’s Angels was started in Portland and now consists of 111 chapters around the world.
