Superior Mayoral Candidates Meet with Young Professionals

Members had the opportunity to talk one–on–one with candidates about issues important to them

SUPERIOR, Wisc. – In less than a week, Superior residents will vote on which two candidates they’d like to see on the ballot for mayor.

Tonight, the Superior Young Professionals hosted a meet and greet with the four mayoral candidates.

Members had the opportunity to talk one–on–one with each candidate about issues that are important to them.

“I think the main thing we’d like to see is growth in the community and really being able to keep jobs in the area, housing in the area, really growing that so young professionals can stay here,” said Staciee Buchanan, president of the Superior Young Professionals.

The group will also host a debate in March with the final two candidates. The primary election takes place next Tuesday, February 21 in Superior.
