Choice Unlimited Masquerade Ball Set for Thursday

"A Royal Affair" Celebrates People and the Art They Produce

DULUTH, Minn. – Dust off your best mask because there’s a masquerade ball Thursday night in Duluth.

A Royal Affair” is this year’s theme for Choice Unlimited‘s 4th annual fundraising gala, celebrating the talents of people with disabilities and the art they produce.

Organizers say the fundraiser helps bring people together.

“People get to know people,” said Annie Roseen, Arts Program Coordinator for Choice Unlimited.  “Sometimes you cross boundaries that you usually don’t, and to do it in a way where you’re celebrating together.”

The annual event often sells out, and tickets are going fast for this year’s celebration.

“We do have a lot of individuals who have been there year after year come back because it’s just a fun time,” said Kristie Buchman, Executive Director of Choice Unlimited.  “It’s a celebration of art and talents of people.”

Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door.  Choice Unlimited hopes to raise about $12,000 during the event.
