St. Scholastica Day of Volunteering
CSS Students, Faculty and Staff Gave Back to the Community
DULUTH, Minn. – College St. Scholastica students and staff gave back to the community Wednesday.
It was part of the college’s Day of Volunteering. Every two years, hundreds of Saints volunteer at various organizations in the community.
A small group of volunteers helped out at Duluth’s First Lutheran Church, making and canning jams for the upcoming Rhubarb Festival.
Many CSS students couldn’t pass up a chance to give back.
“Not many other school have opportunities to get out and learn about their communities and help out and give back,” said Mikaela Vadnais. “It goes along with our core values at St. Scholastica.”
CSS volunteers also helped out at the Duluth YMCA and Congdon Park Elementary School.
